Mr. Scott grew up in rural Minnesota, graduated from Le Center High School and attended college at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. He went to William Mitchell College of Law, graduating in 1996, and has been in the private practice of law for the past 20 years.

After becoming a licensed attorney, Mr. Scott started his career with a personal injury firm in Minneapolis. His main practice areas are now personal injury and workers’ compensation. John Scott practices in Faribault, MN and the surrounding areas of Owatonna and up to Minneapolis and the Twin Cities suburbs.

He also represents clients with other litigation matters, including personal property disputes, real estate disputes and contract-related disputes. Mr. Scott's experience as an attorney includes representing clients in jury trials, court trials and arbitrations. Mr. Scott uses that experience to advocate and counsel his clients. Mr. Scott resides with his family on a farm in rural Le Sueur County.
